It is always interesting how Spirit whispers what I should write about every month just in time for the New Moon. I’ll let you in on the origin of this month’s topic.
In the last week or so I kept myself so busy each day that I found it hard to sit down and meditate. Now I am sure no one else has that trouble <tongue in cheek> but me!
I had been particularly busy, as I often am, going to networking groups – both my own Holistic Entrepreneurs Alliance and several other local business networking groups.
When I finally sat down, got quiet and listened, what I heard made me produce an audible laugh. “You know all that networking you’ve been doing? You need to get your priorities straight and remember your primary network – within.”
How true! It is easy to get focused on making connections with others thinking that they are the answer to making our life work. Our business relationships and our ability to extend to others the offer of our services may appear to lead us to success, but if we aren’t in tune with our own inner voice, what exactly are we really offering.
It is only through going within – “primary networking” – that we remain aware of who we are and what our mission is. Without that constant assurance of our own inner voice or Higher Self, it is too easy to get off course, spin our wheels and get nowhere fast.
Truth is when I remember to meditate, life is more effortless, answers arise when I need them and I don’t get pulled off track by either trying to please another or by acting out of alignment with my Higher Self.
Example: During one of those times when I was so busy doing that I forgot to go within, I hastily offered to do something for someone that would have pulled me way off my intended path. Fortunately, she understood when I called back and withdrew my assistance.
Had I just stopped and gone within before acting, I would have realized the folly of my thoughts. Sometimes it pays to be slow to react or decide and seek Soul’s guidance.
Before you make major decisions or take bold actions, remember your “primary networking” and go within. When you do act, you are more likely to be acting authentically from your Higher Self or Soul’s guidance.
