If you knew that humanity’s conscousness had increased 49 times in the last four years, would you be worried about the future of humanity? That’s not possible you say? What if I told you that in the last four years our awareness of the breadth of our solar system had increased more than 49 times?Astrologer/Astronomer Philip Sedgwick points this fact out in his recent issue of The Galactic Times. With the discovery of the new dwarf planet Eris (the one that caused the reclassification and down grade of Pluto to a dwarf planet), the width of the solar system doubled.
He explains that in the same relative time frame, Sedna’s discovery expanded the distance between bodies in our solar system and the Sun from 39 times to 893 of those same distances. Late in 2006 an obscure body named 2006 SQ372 was found orbiting our Sun at a distance of 1,912 times that of the Earth from the Sun. That’s an increase of 49 times!
In pondering, the reality of this exponential expansion of our solar system, I can’t help but wonder what the ramifications could be of this increase. If the Hermetic principle of “as above, so below” is understood to be true, then what expansion in human consciousnes is likely to occur in the coming years?
I find this quite exciting and hopeful! It took many years for the masses to adjust to the significance of discovering the Earth actually rotates around the Sun or that the Earth isn’t flat. It many take just as many years for us to adjust to the vastness of our solar system.
But my bets are that knowledge and technology in our external world as well as wisdom and consciousness in our inner world are in a process of quantum growth. Answers to intractable global concerns like the current environmental crisis and new approaches to living together peaceably will come forward through intuitive understanding of interconnectedness to all that is.
Could we be on the verge of a global understand of our unity in diversity? Some have said that will never happen, but then I say…
If our awareness of the vastness of our solar system has just expanded 49 times in the last 4 years, why wouldn’t it be possible for us to become aware that we are all diverse expressions of the One Source?
